back in gear

though a whole 3 months later than planned, running season is FINALLY back in full swing. as i was planning my running schedule for this weekend since i'm gonna be back home in troy for a couple days... i realized how blessed i've been these past 5 years to be able to have ann arbor as my training home base for all those races. it's absolutely gorgeous out here.

in troy, everything is suburban, and streets are neatly paved at 90 de
grees, with each traffic light marking a full mile. how boring! additionally, the only scenery you get are the benz's and lexus's of the wealthy old folk cruising by to the left of you, and the houses with trimmed green lawns on the right. and occasionally, you get to pass a friendly neighbor walking their golden retriever. boring smoring.

in fact, it almost made me contemplate not wanting to go home, just so i could stay in ann arbor to run the wooded paths with greenery and rivers. could it be, an encounter with the realization of "i never want to leave this place, not even for a brief weekend?" after all, this is home.

let's run!

can you guess where those locations are? these are a few of my favorite places to run through in aa!
